Testimonials

Anne-Marie Kennedy has been working with myself and the players in the capacity of sport psychologist. During this time she has developed and implemented a specific programme aimed at assisting the players to prepare for competition and to deal with the psychological demands of competing at such a high level. The programme equips the players with the mental skills to enhance cognitive functioning, emotional control and resilience through full group sessions and one-to-one consultations. Anne-Marie has displayed excellent levels of knowledge and competence in sport psychology. She has displayed high levels of emotional intelligence, organisational skills, and through her excellent communication skills, has developed a trusting relationship with the players. Anne Marie’s programme with the Dublin GAA Senior Football team has been a resounding success and she is a valued asset and important member of my team management group.

Anne Marie helped me a lot on not overthinking the outcome but to focus on what’s happening in the moment. Confidence was key, remembering all the hours I had worked towards my specific goal, that when it arrived, I was able to enjoy delivering my best possible performance.

I started working with Anne Marie at the beginning of 2018. The Track World Championships, our biggest event of the year was fast approaching. During the previous World Championships I struggled greatly with poor sleep, insecurities and fear. It was very detrimental to my performance and happiness. I needed help to alter my mindset when it came to racing and training.  Anne Marie taught me to respond rather than react to situations without thoughts and fears hindering performance. This allowed me to feel confident, calm, focused and ready to preform to the best of my ability. It’s difficult to be a happy and competitive athlete if you are burdened with a poor mindset. Anne Marie taught me resilience, which has strengthened me in both my professional and personal life. I am a better athlete and happier person having worked with Anne Marie.

Anne-Marie has been delivering our sport psychology programme into the Leinster Regional Squads for the past few years. The way that Anne-Marie engages with all our athletes and coaches is excellent and the depth of knowledge and insights that she provides is second to none. The way that Anne-Marie can motivate and get the best from the athletes is outstanding. The athletes trust Anne-Marie and are always fully engaged with the workshops that are delivered. I cannot recommend Anne-Marie enough. She is easy to work with, she is very accommodating and flexible in her approach and is always highly prepared before the sessions. She is true professional and great person to work with.
